 Bookings are  secured upon receipt of a deposit. By booking, you are entering into the  following terms and conditions.

  • Deposits are non  refundable. Balances, if made by cheque, must be received a minimum of 7 days  prior to the event. Alternatively, the driver can be paid the balance in cash  at the start of the hire.
  • Cancellations made  less than 14 days prior to the event will be chargeable at the full quoted  price.
  • All quoted prices will be based on single pick up and drop off points, unless otherwise requested. The vehicle will not be at your disposal for the duration of the time in between an outbound and return journey.
  • The journey may not  be changed (unless by prior arrangement) to that stated. If additional pick up  / drop off points are required, these may be possible at cost, but if they are  not agreed before the day, it is at the discretion of the driver.
  • In exceptional circumstances, such as vehicle failure, we reserve the right to send an alternative vehicle of similar seating capacity.  
  • Our drivers aim to  be prompt, and try to take into account the traffic conditions before setting  out for any destination. However, we cannot be held responsible for getting  passengers to a destination for a required time, as traffic conditions may be  unpredictable (This is especially notable when visiting London) Please ensure  you allow enough time for the journey when booking the pick up time.
  • Breakages are  chargeable at £5 a glass.
  • Excess mess or  sickness in the vehicle will incur a fouling charge not exceeding £100.
  • In the event that  the vehicle misses any bookings as a direct result of a passenger causing  damage either inside or outside of the vehicle, the hirer will be charged the  cost of any missed bookings.
  • Breakages and other  excess charges must be paid to Black Tie Limos within seven days of the  customer being notified. If the payment is not received by the end of the  seventh day, the hirer’s card will be charged.
  • Any malicious damage  caused to the vehicles will be charged for, and the persons involved will be  reported to the police.
  • It is against the  law to smoke in our vehicles.
  • Food is not  permitted in our vehicles.
  • Excessively rowdy  behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Abusive or  threatening behaviour towards the driver will not be tolerated.
  • In the case of  airport pickups, the flight number and arrival time must be provided to us in  advance. If there are any delays to the flight time, we must be made aware at  the earliest opportunity. We will endeavour to work around any delays, though  this cannot be guaranteed. The phone number of your driver will be given to you  in advance. You must phone the driver as soon as you are off the plane. Black  Tie Limousines cannot be held responsible for any delays if the above  procedures are not followed.
  • In accordance with  VOSA licensing conditions, all journeys must be a minimum of 15 miles between  stopping points. This does not apply if you are booking a return journey.  Weddings and funerals are also exempt from this condition.
  • In accordance with  VOSA licensing conditions, all passengers on board must pay separate fares. By  agreeing to these terms and conditions, you are confirming that all members of  the party have paid separately. Weddings and funerals are exempt from this  condition.
  • By entering into  this contract, you are taking responsibility for all people within the vehicle.
  • No persons under the  age of 18 may consume alcohol provided by Black Tie Limousines. If any alcohol  is included in the hire, the hirer may be asked to show proof of age to the  driver. This must be a photocard driving licence or passport. By signing this  contract you understand that you are committing an offence by giving alcohol to  anyone under the age of 18.
  • Alcohol is not  permitted for school proms.
  • If alcohol is  included in the hire, your date of birth will be noted on the booking form. It  is held for no other purpose, but is required in accordance with licensing  conditions.
  • All alcohol sales  take place at the time of the booking, which must be a minimum of 24 hours  before the hire. Further alcohol cannot be provided during the hire.
  • The supply of  alcohol will be limited to 4.5 units per adult travelling in the vehicle in any  1 hire. In the event of this limit being exceeded at the time of ordering, it  will be brought to your attention. This is in accordance with licensing  conditions.
  • Any extras such as soft drinks, ribbons, balloons etc. are complimentary.
  • In the unlikely  event of excessive delays or vehicle failure, a refund may be given at the  proprietor’s discretion. In all circumstances, the refund shall not exceed the  total cost of the hire. We reserve the right to 20 minutes grace in the event of any delays. Extra time will be made up at the end of the hire.
  • The driver reserves  the right to terminate the hire at any time if any of the above conditions are  breached. A refund will not be given.

The Following conditions apply specifically  to wedding bookings. The above terms and conditions still apply as usual, but  for wedding hire, the following take precedence should they overlap with the  standard terms.

  • Deposits are non  refundable. Balances must be paid a minimum of 28 days prior to the event.  Bookings made at short notice, ie. Within 28 days of the wedding, must be paid  for in full before the booking is secured, unless otherwise agreed with the  booking manager.
  • Any cancellations  must be made in writing, or by email. Cancellations cannot be made by  telephone.   All cancellations will be confirmed by Black Tie Limousines  within 7 days. If no such confirmation is received, it cannot be assumed that  the notification to cancel has been processed.
  • Cancellations must  be made no less than 28 days prior to the wedding. If the booking has been paid  for in full, a refund will be given for the amount paid,  minus the  deposit.
  • Cancellations made  less than 28 days prior to the event will be chargeable at the full quoted  price.
  • A change of wedding  date is seen as a cancellation. If however, the booked vehicle is available on  the amended date, any payments made can be transferred, without loss of  deposit. An administration charge may be made if any additional changes to the  itinerary are made.  The revised wedding date must be notified to Black  Tie Limousines within 90 days of the cancellation, or the deposit will be  forfeited.
  • Deposits are not  transferable to other persons or weddings.
